The name Rakad comes from a Hebrew word which means "to dance or leap with joy".

Rakad Dance Camp began in July 2009 as a one time camp for the young girls at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Since then, Rakad Dance Camp has continually blossomed. We have had camps every summer, as well as several Christmas Camps and mission trips to Guatemala (where we've had Rakad International Camps).

Rakad has always been about sharing the love of Jesus through the art of joyful movement.

Our Mission

It is the mission at Rakad Dance Camp to teach all girls to dance joyfully and to share the love of God.

Our Vision

We see Jesus moving in the young girls and women throughout the world. We believe that through praising God with dance we become part of the movement.

Our Beliefs

Picture
  • We believe the Bible to be the Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God and that He exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus lived, died, and rose again for our sins.
  • We believe that Jesus is the only path to God.
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit lives inside all followers of God.
